CEO K&K FASHION: “TECHNOLOGY WILL BE THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN RETAIL BUSINESSES”

With the desire to listen and understand business issues in the retail industry, Tribee team had a conversation with Mr. Le Viet Thanh, founder of K&K Fashion. He shared about the core factors that entrepreneurs need to focus on to keep their companies developing in the fiercely competitive retail market.

When asked how K&K Fashion can survive during the Covid period while many businesses are struggling, Mr. Thanh said: “There are external and internal factors that generate sales at K&K Fashion. The external factor is customers. They are the center of K&K Fashion and I need to focus on understanding them in depth. And the internal factor is the employees. I need to cultivate and develop the team.”

Referring to customers, Mr. Thanh shared: “The first principle is to sell useful and quality products. It also includes good customer protection policy, lifetime repair support, and product refund if products are damaged. Of course there’s someone who will take advantage of the system, i.e. requesting a return after using it for 1 year. In that case, I agreed to exchange new products for them and accept the costs. Through this activity, I can train employees how to serve customers according to the principles and motto of K&K Fashion.”

About the internal factor, he said: "Employees with a positive attitude are essential for the company to gain sales. They are the indispensable bridge to convey fashion messages to customers. I believe that when the salespeople are well trained and inspired at work, they will offer dedicated support to help businesses increase sales and grow faster.”

When recruiting, Mr. Thanh does not pay too much attention to employees’ past experience. He creates a supportive environment for all employees. Once a month, he has private meetings with every store manager or supervisor to listen to the difficulties they are facing at work. He said: “I always want to hear from my staff to provide timely support.”

And finally, when asked about the vital factor that determines the success of a retail company in the future, he frankly said: “Technology. Using technology platforms to support the company, from salespeople, inventory management to solving sales problems, will be key for retail businesses.”
